Its true – Pride is about celebration.
It’s about love.
It’s about joy.
And we’re here for it.

But before we get into all that, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible sacrifice and fight that our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters have made to be recognized and accepted. 

We exist in the space where music and the celebration of love (all kinds of love) intersect, and the music we use to celebrate, and the life events we are celebrating, do not exist in a vacuum.
In fact, the music that makes Party Proper possible is largely owed to the LGBTQ+ community. 

While Pride is, without a doubt, about recognizing these artists and celebrating the progress that’s been made for people of all gender identities and orientations to love whom they choose, it is also about recognizing the work that’s left to be done.

We want to say thank you to the iconic artists that inspire our DJ’s,
many of whom were on the ground floor of the gay rights movement, pioneering safe spaces for LGBTQ+ acceptance, liberation, and free expression. 

We also want to express our intention of continuing to work towards our common goal: furthering acceptance, liberation, and free expression. 

While Pride is certainly central to the music we love, we also believe that music is central to celebrating Pride.

We want to use music to uplift, inspire joy, and to give thanks to the LGBTQ+ community and their allies that have produced music that encourage this freedom of expression and love.
